Nova Nickel Mine
Description of Works
RJV Mining Services was awarded the aerodrome and mine access road construction packages for the Nova Nickel Mine including a 35km access road to connect with the Eyre Highway and 2km airstrip and associated taxiway and apron.

Key Challenges
Severe weather was experienced during the project; however, impacts were mitigated, and schedule expectations were achieved.
RJV Advantage
The contract was entered into with both parties showing a willingness to work together to achieve a successful project. RJV maintained particularly good relationships with the staff on site and no work management issues were reported.
The client feedback was positive, indicating that they in future RJV would be a contractor of choice.
Innovation
RJV ensured that there were sufficient HD Fitters on site making sure that plant and equipment was well maintained throughout the contract. This ensured completion on time despite the weather challenges.
