Description of Works
RJV Mining Services was awarded a series of non-process infrastructure projects at BHP’s Mt Keith satellite operations.
Scope of Services
- Construction of 3km Goliath mine haul roads using client provided crushed waste material
- New production Turkey Nest construction, including HDPE liner installation and fencing
- Sediment control rehabilitation works, involving the remediation of existing and construction of new sediment traps
- Jones Creek rehabilitation and creek diversion works
- Go-line and ROM hardstand construction
- Mine road rectification works

Key Challenges
RJV assisted BHP in development of the scope for each of the project elements and providing industry knowledge on how to achieve required outcomes. RJV also specified an optimal fleet ensuring that equipment could conduct all of the required project elements.
RJV Advantage
RJV’s selection of capable plant and equipment for the works ensured that each of the project elements was able to utilize the selected fleet to complete the project efficiently. As the works was being scoped by BHP whilst RJV was onsite the onus was placed on RJV to ensure that equipment and personnel were resourced efficiently, minimising downtime for crews and maintaining flexibility to adjust to rapid changes in scope.
